About This Game STORYIn 2194 humanity has populated the entire galaxy. As our existence expanded, crime became harder and harder to control in the vast reaches of space. As a result, laws became more strict. Government attempts to wrangle the issue bolstered a growing police force and, over many years, the reach of law enforcement grew larger and more aggressive. The general population, simply wanting to feel safe, grew more accepting and the first fully commercially run prison systems took form.Nearly one hundred years later, in 2290 imprisonment is commonplace. A blind trust has been placed in the commercial justice system eventually landing everyday people in jail for years for even the smallest offenses creating a massive divide between the idea of prisoner and person. Hundreds of commercial prisons and law enforcement companies thrive.Devaluing of prisoner lives and massive prison overpopulation gave birth to an auction system where anyone could purchase prisoners for any use free of legal ramifications.Acquired in the most recent bulk order of prisoners for BioMass Labs, you are being shuttled off for study at the Kohate testing facilities. No information is known about the details of the study. You have been black-bagged, loaded onto a transport shuttle, and are waiting for law enforcement to release you to the company.THE GAMEThe subject is a sci-fi puzzle game designed to combine a mix of classic puzzle adventure games with horror elements and visual aesthetics of early 80s sci-fi.You will need to learn to navigate the complex to find your way to the various testing rooms set out in the experiment and collect items needed to progress through the maze. You are being monitored by those running the tests and are required to visit a bio-data terminal periodically to record your vital signs and other data for record keeping. If you fail to do so, you will be removed from testing by euthanization.FeaturesPuzzlesCollectionCasual ModeTwitch IntegrationStealthSurvival 7aa9394dea Title: The SubjectGenre: Adventure, IndieDeveloper:DarkStone DigitalPublisher:DarkStone DigitalRelease Date: 30 Nov, 2018 The Subject Activation Code [Keygen] the flash subject 9 full episode. subject to the final approval. on the subject of java. the flash subject 9 watch online. the devotion of subject x. the subject arena 2. a quirky subject. the hidden subject 617. the subject speaks its own importance. the subject of english. questions about the subject english. the subject line of a letter appears. the jamb subject combination for psychology. changing the subject english. translate the english subject pronouns to spanish. change the subject jewelry. changing the subject questions. the subject biology. the subject matter of naturalistic plays is. the subject for today. the hardest subject. senses of the subject judith butler. the subject pronouns. the subject pronouns exercises. the subject and power pdf. what are the jamb subject combination for political science. the subject foucault. what is the subject journalism. the subject heading of a letter refers to. the subject understood. is the subject english capitalized. the subject matter in this work deals with ____. the university subject rankings. the subject for today remix. the subject matter knowledge. expectation about the subject english 6/10 and recommended if you can get it under $10. Good for 3-5 hours of gameplay. The premise of the game is that you must explore the spaceship and solve puzzles while avoiding a monster that is chasing you. The story and acting are well done, and the graphics are also very good. If you like games that allow you to take your time and explore, then be aware that a monster is constantly lurking around so you cannot relax. You also need to go to different recharge stations for both your life and your flashlight, both of which are on a timer. I'm not a fan of avoid-the-monster games nor do I like being rushed, so both the monster and the recharging were annoyances. Another heads up is that there is no autosave, so if the monster gets you before you can make it to a charging station, your progress will be lost. The puzzles are OK. Many just involve you finding and activating all of the switches, and many others are just trial and error. The are 4 major puzzles in rooms where the monster cannot enter. Of course, your flashlight and life are on timers, so even if you make some progress, you must run out of the rooms and reset your life, but if the monster gets you, your progress is wiped. Also frustrating and not fun.The environment was WAY too large and confusing, which was made worse by the lack of a map. There are endless tunnels that all look similar that have multiple branches. You spend most of the game wandering around. I had to actually map out the routes on paper just to be able to find things. The developers should seriously consider adding a map on the screen.. Way too dark as usual these days, can't see a thing and no way of knowing where you are. No torches no lighter or matches, just eternal darkness with a few lit corridors just for fun. I'm so sick of these games where everything is black and you are supposed to wander around aimlessly until you die of bordome. Dont bother with this rubbish. Also you cant rebind keys so that adds to the fun as well. Save your money and go buy a real game.. I would highly recommend this game. It's no hand-holding hardcore horror/puzzle game. The atmosphere is really intense. When you solve/understand something you have a great feeling of satisfaction. I'm ~9 hours in and still haven't finished it. Be warned though, the puzzles are tough, you can safely add 2 hours to my playtime, which I spent with pen and paper solving them on the side.If you like Frictional games but you want more of a brain challenge then The Subject is easy pick...Overall 8.5/10.. This game is Fantastic. The graphics are really good. The Storyline is compelling, and the gameplay is smooth. It is very immersive so you feel like you are the character and that to me is what makes a game awesome. I love this game. The only thing I don't like about it is dying but I am working on not doing that anymore 😜. Very atmospheric, with a sense of urgency. The monster that lurks in the corridoors has amazing sound quiality with the pounding footsteps on your heels as you scramble for somewhere to hide. Not quite as deadly as Aliens: Isolation where if the Alien saw you it was over, in this game you can escape at least if you are savvy enough. The puzzles are challenging and not easy which is nice, a challenge can be very rewarding once you figure them out.So far I would recommend this game alone just because of the atmosphere of the creature chasing you gives me sucha thrill and gets my heart pouding.. I want to ask dev team add subtitles in game - i mean that part when talking head ( spoooiiiillleeeerrrr next ) gives us some number sequence and add something like 'over 36' and im sure it's not what i'm hear cause english is not my focking native language!!!!%#$!$!%!%!%^!%! Make subs duuuuude!. If it wasn't for the stupid AI monster interrupting your puzzling every 5 seconds, this game would be a decent puzzler.. 6/10 and recommended if you can get it under $10. Patch 1.1.2 Notes: - Full Xbox controller support- Bio Check-in stations now save in addition to resetting your timer (you can still save by pressing ESC any time you want)- Some extra visual cues here and there. The controller is in and working but there is no in-game map yet, so to help, I made a quick map.Controller Map. Patch 1.1.4 Notes: - Various bug fixes- Fixed a number of locations the monster would get stuck- Fixed a bug where the end of long hallways may disappear- Key binding work started (not implemented). Linux build launch issue (workaround): I've gotten a few reports of the linux build throwing up an error saying it can't find an exe which seems to be something that's happened before with other games. However, there is a workaround while I try to hunt down the cause of this issue assuming it's not on steam's end. Right click on The Subject in your game library and go to properties. Click the "Local Files" tab Click "Browse Local Files"There you should see the launch file for The Subject and the game should start up.Thank you for your patience and I'm sorry if you run into this issue. Please let me know if this workaround doesn't work for you. Thank you!-Brian. Launch in about 5 days! A bit about me.: I'm very excited to be launching my first solo indie title so soon!Right now, I'm hard at work on polish and bug fixing to try and get the best product out I can. I want to thank the members in my discord that test the game. You really help make sure people have a better experience.Anyway! As launch marches closer and it being such a large milestone for me and my video game development career, I thought I would share a post about myself for those that may be following the game but are new to me as a developer. Most don't know that I am a one-man development team, I have a 13 year history in AAA games, and I do everything for my projects from art to code. It's been amazingly fun. The most fun I have had in my career. If you want to get to know more about me, check out my blog post on the DSD site.https://www.darkstonedigital.com/blog/dsd-indie-team-of-oneIf you are reading this, thank you so much for following my project. It means a great deal to me and I hope you enjoy The Subject when it launches.Check back here for announcements, patch notes, and more as The Subject moves into a live product! Talk to you soon.-Brian. Patch 1.1.0 Notes: Larger change in today's patch- The ring lock puzzle with the ball has had a large change to answer some of the feedback it's received. - Fixed a scenario where the monster would run if you place if the player hid while being chased.- Some sound adjustments to not be so ear-bleeding in certain cases.- Maps may be found in various places in the complex. Hot fix - Linux launch issue: There was an issue where launching the game through steam on Linux would throw up an error stating that an exe could not be found. This issue has been fixed.Thank you for your patience and I hope you have lots of fun wandering the Kohate complex!-Brian. Hot Fix 2.0.3: Fixed an issue where Vsync being off could cause a number of control issues.I want to thank those that posted about this issue so that I could dig deeper into it!-Brian. Pre-launch Patch 0.9.1: Some quick changes have been made based on play through from folks along with bug fixes.+ You will not lose your saved game if you die. (Starting a new game will still remove your saved game)+ Puzzle elements in the open maze have been adjusted to be more localized+ Starting maze experience has been scaled down to help ease players into things. Finding the flashlight will be easier.+ Save notification when you save the game+ Some additional propping has been done but will be completed in the 1.0 build for launch. The intent is to aid in identifying sections of the maze better.. The Subject is now on Linux!: Hey all! I'm sorry it's taken so long but as you know, being a solo developer makes things take longer than usual.I'm happy to say that I have ported The Subject over to Linux! I have tested on my local Linux machine as best I could. I have successfully tested the game on Ubuntu 18.10 and have pushed the build to Steam. Now that The Subject is on Linux, support will slow down a tad for The Subject as I continue work on my next co-development title The Deallocation with Reflect Studios and my next solo project (an escape room yet to be announced)I hope you enjoy the game and thank you so much to the supporters who have purchased the game so far. Take care everyone!-Brian
